THE DUDE ABIDES. Posted by Sly 04-27-2009
Lately I'm so inspired by my favorite movie of all time that I just HAD to do something with it. So here ya go;
The Big Lebowski painted bowling pin. The thing I love the most are the White Russian drips on the Dudes'
moustache. I could do a trilogy of pins and add all characters of the movie. Bring on the pins!

SKATE DECK PART 2. Posted by Sly 04-19-2009

the 'Record Covers' section. Did some CD/LP artwork for Strike First and Point Of View.
10 YEARS AGO.... Posted by Sly 10-13-2008
On October 10th, 1998, Snot played at the Key Club in Hollywood together with Human Waste Project.
On October 10th 2008 both bands played there again! Snot re-united a few months ago and Human Waste
Project are said to be re-united just for this one show only. I've been helping Snot out with some artwork
as you can see on these pictures:

SNOT MERCH Posted by Sly 08-27-2008
Did one Snot T-shirt design so far. Check out the 'MERCHANDISE', 'MUSIC' and 'LOGOS' sections. Also I did a flyer/
poster design for their show on Ocotber 10th at the Key Club together with Human Waste Project (one time reunion!)
and Black President. Most stoked I am about the backdrop, drumhead and amp covers they will be using for their
upcoming tour starting in October. Here is a picture of the backdrop (better ones soon):
Also some stickers will be made as well as more designs!! If you haven't seen or heard what Snot is up to today, check out
their myspace: www.myspace.com/snot
GET SOME SNOT Posted by Sly 08-14-2008
Anyone remember the great band SNOT? They disbanded in 1998 after their singer Lynn Strait, along with his dog Dobbs
[also the bands' mascotte], were killed in a car accident. Now, 10 years later, they reformed and joined forces with [ex-Divine
Heresy] singer Tommy Cummings. Great news. They asked me to help them out with a bunch of designs for merchandise.
Go check www.myspace.com/snot for tour news and new songs since they are planning to tour the world from October.
More on SNOT soon!

ALMOST DONE Posted by Sly 07-23-2008
It's almost finished. Eyes are ready and the hair is black now. Also gave the pony some Chuck Taylors.
Tomorrow, I'll post some pictures of the finished pony on which a varnish coating was added.
Note the All Stars:
MORE PONY BUSINESS Posted by Sly 07-10-2008
Hi Folks. Worked some more on the Pony. It's shaping up! I tried to create a 'jeans look', plus I started working on the eyes.

Used some VERY basic markers. Yes, I'm playing Sailor Jerry as you can see. Wonder if he ever tattooed a pony.

It's very clear now that I'm creating a pony covered in old school sailor tattoos from the 1950's.

Still lot needs to be done. Mostly details like finishing the eyes and add some more tattoos. All tattoos were drawn
freestyle onto the pony, so no guides or pre-drawn guiding lines. Of course I used some Sailor Jerry flash as an
inspiration. Next post soon!

PONY TALES Posted by Sly 06-30-2008
I started working on (spray)painting the pony a few days ago. Henk ten Brink, an awesome decoration painter
I know, supplied me with all kinds of material to make it all much easier. Also he gave me some great tips on
how to use the primer and paint and told me what was the best way to start (Thanx Henk!). Here are some pictures:
Hasbro delivered me a white pony. I first added a primer coating to make the spay paint stick on the pony.

I used Montana spray paint, normally used by graffiti artists. I added a basic yellow/sand-ish color first.
After that I added some highlights with an more pink-ish color.

I added some smurf-ish blue on the pony's rear end.

After that, an aerosol mist was added in a darker blue to create some accents. I used some bandage to create a pattern.

That's all for now. More soon!
MY LITTLE PONY Posted by Sly 06-23-2008
Together with some Dutch celebs and other artists I was asked to pimp a supersized white My Little Pony.
Hasbro, the company responsable for the world famous My Little Pony will be celebrating the 25th anniversary
of these beautiful toy-animals by auctioning all pimped pony's on Ebay. All proceeds of the auction will go to War Child.
This month I will be posting pictures here of my Pony-pimping-actions.
Here's a (Dutch only) press release.
NO TURNING BACK Posted by Sly 03-21-2008
Last month I've been putting together the album artwork of No Turning Back's upcoming new album 'Stronger'. This means doing the lay-out and design. It will be released through Reflections Records on April 24th on CD and gatefold LP. Like their previous effort 'Holding On' it once again contains an awesome drawing done by Dutch tattoo artist Bas Kahle. It looks rad! Be sure to order 'Stronger' here: www.reflectionsrecords.com
PSYCHOTIC ART EXHIBITION Posted by Sly 12-24-2007
Yesterday, December 23rd, saw the opening of the Psychotic Art Exhibition at The Cantine in Amsterdam. A selection of my work will be exposed until January 20th among some other artists who all share the love of psychotic-minded artwork. During the opening there was live music, ambiance, drinks, friends and great fun. Unfortunatly David Vicente and Von Bartmann could not make it to the expo. If you have the chance, drop by at The Cantine some time. If you have any questions or want info on purchasing any of my artwork, just send me an e-mail.
